Timeline follows video A. If B is longer or starts later, set an offset (negative pulls B earlier) or swap sides.
How to use it
Drop a video into each pane, A on the left, B on the right. They load and start playing together, muted. The transport bar runs both at once: Play, scrub the timeline, step one frame at a time, jump a second, or change speed. Click 🔊 under a pane to hear that side.
Aligning an edit to its original. If the edit trimmed the start, the two clips drift apart. Use Offset B to slide the right clip until the same moment lines up in both (a negative value pulls B earlier). The timeline follows video A, so put the longer clip on the left, or hit Swap (it flips the offset for you so the alignment holds).
Spotting what changed. Turn on Overlay to stack B on top of A, then drag the opacity slider to fade between them. Anything that moved, got cut, or was recolored jumps out. Fill crop and 16:9 adjust the frame shape if your videos aren't 9:16.
Frame stepping. It assumes 30fps. If your footage is 24, 25, or 60, set the FPS box to match so a step lands on a real frame (browsers can't read the true frame rate on their own).
Keys: space play/pause, ← → step a frame, shift + ←/→ jump a second, home back to start.
Good to know: everything runs on your machine, no file is uploaded anywhere. Sync is exact when paused or stepping and tight during playback with a small auto-correction. For a precise frame check, pause and step.
